Today is National Coming Out Day! The day encourages everyone to live openly and speak freely. The holiday started in 1987 where 500,000 gays and lesbians marched Washington to demand equal rights. Rights that we are still waiting on.
Closeted gays and lesbians are encouraged to be open to their friends, family and co-workers today.
